Godfrey Bloom Portrait

Welcome to my blog. An unprecedented democratic deficit is developing in the UK. Our interests are being ignored for the benefit of pointless and self-serving EU and environmental bureaucracies. On this blog I will be offering unfashionable arguments in favour of freedom and democracy, and against the dangerous eco-zealots' attack on our economy, jobs, and industry. Read more...

It seems that some people are able to write, without ever having developed the ability to read or listen.

This is what I said:

"Well done the French, for sinking one of these things".

This is what I did not say:

“Well done, the French, for killing a man”.

It seems that some people are so desperate to get their climate alarmist nonsense to stand up, that they have to give it legs by making me out to be some kind of fan of murder.

They ought to pay closer attention to the things I actually say. But since they can't, they have to resort to lies.

Godrey Bloom,

You have no pride sir.

You are the archtypical example of an absolute waste of air and space.
Even worse we the taxpayers must fund you.
This has nothing to do with Green Peace.

The French secret service conduct a terrorist action in New Zealand soil - a long term and staunch British ally whose young men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice in support of Great Britain thousands on occassions and you sir reinforce the first rate narcisstic prat that you are.
Mark B --- Subject: French State Sponsored Terroism --- posted at 2010-02-08 08:22:32
As a Yorkshireman living in New Zealand I am disgusted and embarressed that you support, and approve of, an unprovoked state sponsored terrorist attack on a civilian ship in a New Zealand port. The fact that you seem to forgot that an innocent man lost his life in this attack merely confirms that your opinions are both ignorant and blinkered.
J Alfred Prufrock --- Subject: French State Sponsored Terrorism --- posted at 2010-02-08 11:36:23
A man died for God's sake. Apologise. Or aren't you man enough? You play the "humble Englishman" trick very well, yet you are a disgusting apologist for murder.

Why are you blathering on about the Guardian and people burning books?

You celebrate the death of an innocent man. You are nothing better than pond scum.
Lilith --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-08 11:20:49
You have lost all credibility. It is people like you that give "sceptics" a bad name.
Godfrey Bloom --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-08 11:40:02
"You have no pride sir."

And you can't read.

"you are a disgusting apologist for murder."

And you can't read either.

If you were really worried about people dying, you'd be angry with Greenpeace, that was the point I made in the original video and the one above.
J Alfred Prufrock --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-08 12:42:27
Liar.

You made no such point in the original video.

It's here, in case anyone was wondering:
http://liberalconspiracy.org/2010/02/05/revealed-ukip-mep-celebrates-french-attack-on-greenpeace-which-killed-people/

Why do you support state-sponsored terrorism? You celebrate the malicious sinking of a boat which is, by any standards, an act of war or terrorism. Greenpeace were protesting against nuclear testing, so your point about global warming is null.

And why do you hate the middle class and middle aged so much? Is it self-loathing? Or are you "better" than that?

You relish the death of an innocent man. And yet you claim Greenpeace to be the "fascists".

BTW: I suggest you look up the difference between "climate" and "weather". It's quite vast.
Godfrey Bloom --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-08 13:13:21
"You made no such point in the original video."

I certainly did:

"Here we have one of the most truly fascist boats, I would argue, since 1945 - the end of the Last War."

You don't think that I think that Greenpeace are eco-fascists merely by virtue of them being wrong, do you?

I think Greenpeace are eco-fascists because their actions cause deaths.

"Why do you support state-sponsored terrorism? "

I don't.

Some anthropologists have postulated that the switch to when humans started to eat meat was the point at which due to the high protein content it caused a rapid development in their brains and resulted in them coming down from the trees. It is therefore rather frightening to consider just how far our muesli munching greens have regressed on the scale of evolution.

One only has to use one’s rational scientific mind to think ‘why not check the facts’, and upon doing so it transpires the Greenpiece communist who got killed actually went back onto the sinking ship in order to get his camera, presumably to film it as a Greenpiece propaganda video. Therefore, far from it being murder, it was his decision to endanger his life. This defies a trait the rest of us have for self-preservation.

I don't support the AGW hysterics and I don't subscribe to Greenpeace but how could you celebrate murder and suggest it furthers the battle against this conspiracy? UKIP just lost my vote.

Godfrey Bloom --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-06 15:48:12
I don't know what you are referring to, Lilith. I haven't 'celebrated' any murder.

Lilith --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-07 16:57:32
Just to jog your memory

"Fernando Pereira, a photographer, drowned on the sinking ship. Two French agents were arrested by the New Zealand Police on passport fraud and immigration charges. They were charged with arson, conspiracy to commit arson, willful damage, and murder. As part of a plea bargain, they pleaded guilty to manslaughter and were sentenced to ten years, of which they served just over two."

You are on video suggesting the terrorist and murderous act of sinking the Rainbow Warrior was a marvellous thing : "Vive La France!"

Lilith --- Subject: {title} --- posted at 2010-02-07 17:01:57
This was a major diplomatic incident at the time, still not forgotten by New Zealanders. France even started demanding New Zealanders obtain visas to enter France after this. You are older than me, and I remember it with horror. You clearly feel the death of a photographer was a price worth paying.

"You are on video suggesting the terrorist and murderous act of sinking the Rainbow Warrior was a marvellous thing : "Vive La France!""

As I said, I had forgotten that a person had been killed.

I am no more "celebrating murder" than Betjeman was, when he wrote "come friendly bombs and fall on Slough".

------------------------

Come friendly bombs and fall on Slough!
It isn't fit for humans now,
There isn't grass to graze a cow.
Swarm over, Death!
Come, bombs and blow to smithereens
Those air -conditioned, bright canteens,
Tinned fruit, tinned meat, tinned milk, tinned beans,
Tinned minds, tinned breath.

Mess up the mess they call a town-
A house for ninety-seven down
And once a week a half a crown
For twenty years.

And get that man with double chin
Who'll always cheat and always win,
Who washes his repulsive skin
In women's tears:

And smash his desk of polished oak
And smash his hands so used to stroke
And stop his boring dirty joke
And make him yell.

But spare the bald young clerks who add
The profits of the stinking cad;
It's not their fault that they are mad,
They've tasted Hell.

It's not their fault they do not know
The birdsong from the radio,
It's not their fault they often go
To Maidenhead

And talk of sport and makes of cars
In various bogus-Tudor bars
And daren't look up and see the stars
But belch instead.

In labour-saving homes, with care
Their wives frizz out peroxide hair
And dry it in synthetic air
And paint their nails.

Come, friendly bombs and fall on Slough
To get it ready for the plough.
The cabbages are coming now;
The earth exhales.

Oh, it was a sense of humour failure on my part! Of course.

I am not sure you deserve to be a politician if you don't know your politics. Nobody let this man near the Foreign Office! And for goodnessakes don't send him to New Zealand on any fact finding missions.....

The sinking you (and the French) celebrated so humorously was an act of terror and murder.

Finally, please could you link me to your apology to Mr Pereira's family? I am having trouble reading that anywhere...
Godfrey Bloom --- Subject: Comment rules --- posted at 2010-02-08 22:03:09
I provide this blog and the comments section so that people can tell me what they think, and that we can have a discussion.

Sending comments to posts that have nothing to do with the subject under discussion, sending multiple copies of the same comment to different posts, writing in capital letters, and making unfounded allegations, or comments that have been answered is pointless, time-consuming, and will likely only result in your messages being picked up as spam.

Feel free to express yourself here. But if you're going to accuse me of supporting murder or state terrorism, don't expect any more replies. Those accusations have been answered here and in the NZ media.

Time for UKIP and the BNP to both be consigned to the rubbish bin. Godfrey you both support illegal actions and both should be removed from the political life of the United Kingdom by legal means of course. Godfrey please hand yourself into your local police station as you are inciting a terrorist act which is illegal in the UK.

Ha ha ha ha. A bigger idiot on this planet you will not find.
You are a very confused man Godfrey. Eco-facists? Green movement calling the shots? Old people burning books?
By all means, please come to my local pub and entertain us with your ramblings, but I think you'd be better off leaving the serious politics to people who can tell their arse from their elbow.
I was going to start a facebook group to see how much support there was out there for a petition to get you sacked as an MEP. After further thought, I think you'll do the green movement a lot of good in the long run, purely by a man of your reputation opposing it.
Good luck to you Godfrey.
By the way, I saw a neat poem posted today on the Guardian:

There once was a feller called Bloom,
In whose head there was oodles of room.
He stood on the quay,
Said "I am a Na-zi"
And faded away in the gloom.
Paul Harris --- Subject: Press Comment --- posted at 2010-02-12 15:20:46
By the way, in case people have not noticed, this story made the national press.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/environment/blog/2010/feb/05/bloom-rainbow-warrior-greenpeace

As you can see the Guardianistas are having kittens over it, but take a closer look. The comments that are in support of Godfrey Bloom are generally ranked with the highest number of recommendations.

Now what is going on here? Are they walking away from their creed? Have they figured out they have been spun for far too long by a radical sect of hard left extremists with communist leanings, when all they ever really wanted was a bit of freedom?

This is not the only sign, indeed far from it. Recently there has been a change of tack for the editorial and we see them actually questioning the official IPCC line. We see them investigate the CRU emails when to start with their reaction was one of total denial. That was when about one in three of the comments had to be removed from the paper or that their articles had to appear without a comment section.

I think some are having a eureka moment, and of course some are pushing all the harder with the official spin. Eventually I predict the ones with vested interests will stick out like sore thumbs. The ones who were just naïve are losing it and distancing themselves from their radical counterparts.

The most important thing though for politicians of the realists is to stick to your guns. Do not ever bend to the wishes of these radicals and that will see you through. What we have here are desperate bleatings from a retreating army desperately trying to hang on to that greeenie quango job in order to pay their horrendous bills (e.g. those horrific electricity and gas bills).

Thing is, this is bad politicking. It is old obsessives like Godfrey Bloom that cause more trouble than they fix. This whole dichotomous thing of either being with whatever Bloom decides is right this week versus being whatever flavour of the month demon it is - currently greens - is detrimental to society as a whole. What about anti-green vegetarians? Are they not allowed in the Godders Club? What about greens who want to see the UK out of Europe and an end to immigration?

Looking to deny the obsessive accusation Godfrey? Quote: "It seems that some people are so desperate to get their climate alarmist nonsense to stand up, "
Being "climate alarmist" isn't a necessary requirement to being offended by your words. You go out of way to be offensive, it's your lame schtick, trust me not everyone who is offended by you or who thinks you are a pillock is an eco-fascist. Only in the 'us vs them' angry old man mentality you are stuck in.
It more likely seems that one person is so desperate to get his anti-climate alarmist agenda to stand he has to refer to it continually, relevant or not.

People are much more highly regarded when they speak, act and fight FOR their beliefs, rather than AGAINST another set of beliefs. I'm not seeing a politician acting for anything, just a deranged old bloke railing against anything and anyone he can.

The lingo is nothing short of childish too. It's never just a green, is it? It's a muesli munching green. Or sun-dried tomato eating guardianista. All of you including and not limited to Bloom who do this are no better than kids or tabloid journos and it seriously detracts from your message and your credibility. You just look silly.

Steven Hawking once famously said that for every equation you put in a book it would halve its readership.

We can do you equations if that is what you want, if that is what it takes for you to consider it serious. However, as you will no doubt be aware, politics is about communicating with the masses, and they have been heavily compromised by the New Labour dumbing down regime. Cameron is in the papers today saying he wants to use Hollywood celebs to teach ‘breathing exercises’ in schools. So please don’t blame the UKIP. The UKIP is doing very nicely as far as attracting people of a strong intellect. It’s not a party that feels it needs to compete with the Guardian ‘science’; I mean that is only of significance for its entertainment value. I have never figured out why they listen to the likes of Polly Toynbee!
